About us
Andy Hollis was born in 1974, hence the name, and has a background both in the music world with spells in A&R at Ninja Tune and Parlophone, along with best of breed training and experience within a corporate setting beginning at Accenture and most recently as director of a company within one of the worlds largest private equity firms. Andy is passionate about transposing these corporate ethics to his first love, the music and entertainment industries.
At 74 Group we look after a range of elements within the promotional and talent management arena, tailored to each client, ranging from brand promotion and marketing advice, through to television commissions and endorsement. By spending time genuinely understanding each business or individual, we are confident that the service our clients receive is second to none.
74 Promotions was set up by Andy in 2009 as a result of frustration at having to deal with management and promotions firms who seemed not to provide the level of passion, support and, importantly, professionalism that artists require and deserve.
Whilst organising and running a music festival, we were staggered at the positive proactivity of the artists in contrast to the entirely uncaring attitude of those who were meant to be helping them towards success. 74 is therefore based on the philosophy of the genuine management and business ethics of the corporate world, coupled with the passion and enthusiasm borne out of creative enterprise.
What was initially 74 Music quickly developed into a broader offering with the addition of a number of local businesses, Cancer Research UK and entrepreneur James Caan to the client list, all impressed with the ‘different’ approach and ethos of the business. Hence 74 Promotions was created, a business which we feel offers a new and better approach to all of our clients needs.
